Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Hoist Technician. As a Hoist Technician, you will conduct post rental inspection/check-in procedures, preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct annual inspections, repair and recondition swing stage hoist motors to maintain proper and safe operating conditions. Duties & Responsibilities include servicing equipment to keep it in proper and safe working condition, performing safety inspections, conducting preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime, maintaining a clean and safe shop/work environment, meeting all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, some trade school desirable, previous hoist motor repair experience preferred, experience in repair and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical equipment preferred, aptitude, 1 year scaffold hoist experience, knowledge of proper use of tools and equipment, communication skills, work planning skills, troubleshooting skills, personal and professional integrity, clear understanding of equipment safety necessity, flexibility regarding work assignments, safety consciousness, and knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements. The role requires physical demands such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.
