We are looking for a prop master in training/apprentice to assist with creation of props for Spy Ninjas.

About the position:

The Prop Master at Spy Ninjas HQ will be the point person for all prop design and creation. The prop master will ensure the safe creation and functionality of various projects at Spy Ninjas HQ. The prop master will work directly with the rest of the design team to create themed props in accordance with the Spy Ninjas brand.

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive and scheduled maintenance.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, use of hand and table tools, including but not limited to, drills and saws.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and generate simple layouts and plan sets.
  • Foam carving on various themed projects.
  • Hands on work involving the physical creation of props.
  • Collaborate with the creative and production team to decorate and design props that align with the vision of the team.
  • Ensure all design elements meet quality standards and are delivered within the project timeline.
  • Build and modify property to meet design specifications.
  • Climb ladders and operate lifts to repair various projects.
  • Work with construction and installation teams to ensure design concepts are properly executed.
  • Run print jobs according to schedule, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in selecting color schemes, furniture, and decorative elements to enhance the Spy Ninjas brand.
  • Install approved decor, signage, and theming.
  • Assist with the overall decor, creativity and finishing details for the park.
  • Disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring in lighting and prop designs as needed. 
  • Faux painting on themed projects as needed. 
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications for Success:

  • Basic/moderate computer skills
  • Eye for detail and ability to choose complementary color schemes, textures, and furnishings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to work from reasonable heights, including the use of ladders and lifts.
  • Lift certified or willingness to receive on-site training
  • Knowledgeable on various prop designs
  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools; ability to use and handle tools to perform work.
  • Knowledgeable on OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with management and other team members
  • Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends
  • Must have a meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to succinctly communicate vertically and in writing and provide clear direction and updates
  • Must possess a strong desire to work in a team first environment
