Job Title: Assistant Business Manager - Ninja Gym

Location: Ninjobstacles

Reports To: Gym Owner

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

We’re looking for a motivated, passionate, and experienced Assistant Business Manager to join our team and help us grow while ensuring that our gym continues to provide a great experience for all members.

Job Overview:

As the Assistant Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing finances, implementing business strategies, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the gym. Your role will be critical in increasing profitability, customer satisfaction, and gym membership retention. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of gym operations, and a passion for fitness and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: ○ Oversee daily gym operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. ○ Supervise and manage a team of staff. ○ Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the facility. ○ Implement and maintain operational procedures to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Business Development: ○ Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones. ○ Organize and promote events, competitions, and classes to engage the community. ○ Identify potential partnerships and sponsorships to drive business growth. ○ Collaborate with the owner to innovate new services, programs, and promotions to expand business opportunities.
  • Financial Management: ○ Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the gym. ○ Track gym performance metrics, including revenue, membership numbers, and expenses. ○ Ensure accurate invoicing, membership renewals, and handling of payments. ○ Monitor financial trends and make recommendations for cost-saving measures while maintaining the gym's quality.
  • Customer Relations: ○ Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere by delivering excellent customer service to members and guests. ○ Handle member inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. ○ Track member feedback and suggest improvements to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Leadership and Development: ○ Lead and inspire the team to meet business goals and uphold the gym’s values. ○ Provide training and support to new and existing staff members. ○ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure staff growth and development. ○ Fill in teaching for classes as required
  • Health and Safety Compliance: ○ Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. ○ Oversee risk management practices, ensuring that safety protocols are adhered to at all times. ○ Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and schedule regular maintenance checks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Assistant Business Manager, Gym Manager, or similar role in the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of fitness industry trends and customer service best practices.
  • Familiarity with gym management software and basic office tools.
  • Passion for fitness and a commitment to promoting an active lifestyle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a ninja gym or similar athletic training facility is a plus.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.

Working Conditions:

  • Variable working hours, mostly evenings and weekends.
  • Physical activity involved, with some lifting, moving, and demonstrating of gym equipment and obstacles.
  • A fast-paced and dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth.

Compensation:

  • Position will start as a part-time Assistant Manager to the owner, with the potential to take over as full-time General Manager.
  • Salaried position, $400-$800 bi-weekly to start.
  • Family membership.
