Job Title: Jubilee Arts, Program Director Schedule: Full-time position Position reports to: Intersection of Change Executive Director Salary: $63,000 annually + benefits (health insurance and optional 403b retirement plan) Summary: This position entails operation of Jubilee Arts, a comprehensive art program that uses art as a catalyst for social change, as a tool for empowerment, and as a tool to learn our history and change our future in Baltimore. Jubilee Arts provides over 15 art classes (in ceramics, visual arts, dance, and business) four days a week with four annual semester sessions as well as cultural activities to both children and adults and serves over 2,500 people annually. Position Overview Key responsibilities include: Strategic Leadership - Sets the yearly goals and vision for the JA team. Stakeholder Cultivation - Establishes a strategy to attract, engage, recruit, and cultivate program stakeholders. Data Management - Develop the process for capturing and tracking essential data to describe the impact of program offerings. Program design - Regularly assess program offerings to determine if they add value to our participants and the program as a whole. Fundraising - Work with the IOC Senior Leadership team to develop the organizational strategy for raising monetary support. Technology - Assess the various needs for technology amongst our Jubilee internal and external community to see who has adequate equipment to participate in our various initiatives. Management - Direct and manage work of employees to meet programmatic goals and outcomes; utilize creative problem solving to address challenges Required Skills Minimum of two years of arts administrative experience, preferably in areas related to performing arts and/or community-based arts programing Commitment to working with artists, City personnel, and members of the Sandtown/Winchester community Demonstrated success in developing and implementing community-based arts programming. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to negotiate contracts. Strong organizational skills and ability to accomplish multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines Proven experience with capturing, managing, and interpreting data. Ability and willingness to participate in evening and weekend events and meetings Proven work experience in a supervisory role Bachelor’s degree in the arts or related field Preferred Skills Excellent computer skills and WEB knowledge required (MS Suite, Google applications) Masters degree in Fine Arts or Business management Fundraising and grant writing experience. Promoting local creative entrepreneurship - We provide an inclusive space for local creatives and lifestyle entrepreneurs to develop their businesses while giving back to the community. Neighborhood beautification projects - Employing community art-based projects furthering Sandtown/Upton's transformation into a lively, beautiful, and resilient place.
