The positionWe are looking for motivated individuals with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in copy editing who possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating clear and engaging content that enhances user understanding and supports our mission in environmental permitting and compliance.

As a Copy Editor at Windsor Solutions, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining a variety of written materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency. You will play a key role in managing and improving our internal Wiki knowledge base, as well as assisting in the development of our training curriculum. Ideally you also have experience in technical writing, which will enable you to effectively develop clear and concise training materials, user guides, and documentation that translate complex concepts into accessible language for our diverse audience. 

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in copy editing, preferably within the software, technology, or environmental sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and edit documentation such as user guides, training manuals, and marketing materials.
  • Strong background in technical writing is highly preferred, particularly in developing training curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and knowledge bases, particularly in an organizational or corporate setting.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure accuracy and clarity in all written materials.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and edit content for Windsor’s Wiki knowledge base, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to company style guidelines.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and improve training materials and documentation for our software solutions.
  • Edit and proofread a variety of documents, including user guides, training manuals, marketing materials, and internal communications, to maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain style guides and templates to ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting across all written materials.
  • Conduct thorough fact-checking to verify the accuracy of technical information and ensure reliable content.
  • Provide constructive feedback to content creators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages quality writing and effective communication.
  • Assist in organizing and managing the editing workflow, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices in copy editing, and developments in environmental compliance to enhance knowledge and skills.
