Job Title: Compounding Pharmacy Technician Job Description The Pharmacy Technician facilitates the delivery of medications to patients and their families in the hospital and clinic setting, while also helping coordinate payments and insurance verifications. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and filling medication orders and medication carts. Process prescriptions. Distribute medication to patients. Perform quality assurance inspections. Maintain stock levels in all areas of the hospital. Essential Skills Pharmacy Retail pharmacy Medication refill Data entry Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required. Ability to perform dosage calculations. Effective communication with all levels of hospital personnel. Proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and technical equipment required for duties. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. Customer service and communication skills. Ability to walk around the hospital for extended periods. Work Environment Work within a large Health System's Infusion Pharmacy. Shift is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
