Job Description

Apex Systems is seeking an ON-SITE Engineering Project Manager for our client in Greensboro, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a strong potential for extension. The position follows a first shift, Monday-Friday schedule . Responsibilities: Manage activities related to verification and validation of features and regulations, ensuring they are identified, planned, optimized, and completed. Deliver project requirements with quality, on-time delivery, maintain costs, and fulfill feature targets (QDCF). Manage incoming test requests via risk management, supported by Feature Engineers. Define test plan priorities and communicate project risks proactively. Represent the organization in project management teams, design reviews, and clinics. Identify necessary resources and costs, including simulation, rig tests, and test trucks. Lead feature reviews and report on feature fulfillment, verification, and validation status. Contribute to project documentation such as requirement specifications, project descriptions, risk registers, and lessons learned. Ensure project time plans cover all activities needed for full verification and validation of components, systems, and functions. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred). 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Leadership experience is preferred. Skills in quality tools such as risk analysis, FMEA, and project assurance are preferred. Experience with SAFe Agile methodology is preferred. Familiarity with North American automotive safety regulations (FMVSS / CMVSS) is preferred.
