Biology & Environmental Science Teacher 2025-26 Bishop Blanchet High School Reports to Principal Start date: August 21, 2025 Bishop Blanchet High School is a 9-12 grade Catholic school located in Seattle, WA and is committed to attracting and retaining outstanding individuals to better reflect the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our student population. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in specific content area; Master’s degree or higher preferred Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area Annual contract beginning in the Fall The ideal candidate will have a commitment to: Possess ability to teach biology, environmental science Prefered: Possess ability to teach other sciences, such as physics, chemistry, human anatomy, or marine biology Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and working toward consensus with team members Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners Strategizing for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students Utilizing technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, google suite) to inform instruction Compensation and Summary of Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $71,548 - $139,862 Medical, dental, life insurance Access to 403(b) retirement match program Access to employer funded HSA Access to fitness center School funded professional development opportunities Continuing education and/or in-building child tuition support Opportunities to help with our robust co-curricular programs, including our competitive athletic programs, clubs, and performing arts Incredibly supportive, professional, and committed faculty and staff that value community 9-acre campus two blocks from Greenlake that boasts an outdoor athletic stadium, a fitness center, sports medicine training room, three gymnasiums, three performing arts spaces including a black box theatre, and a recently renovated student commons.
