Job Description

Bellefonte Area School District is accepting applications for an Anticipated School Secretary at the Bellefonte Elementary School. This is a 12 full-time 12 month, Level F position that is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Duties: Provide all secretarial duties for the Elementary School Principal, as well as provide clerical assistance to the faculty, administration and students for the operation and maintenance of the building. Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality related to student and staff information. Good people skills required. Academic Qualifications: Minimum: High School diploma. Preferred: Post secondary business training. Preferred Experience: Two years experience in a clerical/general secretarial position in public education or the public sector. Experience in a public education and governmental accounting. Computer skills and general business knowledge in accounts payable. Experience using student attendance systems. Other Skills:

1. Manage the ordering and distribution of school supplies.
2. Maintain and update student files that involve dealing with student information

forms, entry and withdrawal of students, requesting student records, etc. 3. Process various monthly, quarterly and annual reports as necessary such as student population, attendance, fire drill, copy control, cafeteria attendance factor, progress reports and language arts information. 4. Assist in the preparation of the annual school budget. 5. Demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of all Microsoft Office. Work Day: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm7.5 hrs/day 30 minute unpaid lunch Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance available. All applications need to be submitted online.
